This post is SO over due & I’m sorry!

If there’s a perpetual question that I get it’s about my lips.

Did I get them done?


“Because they look great”.

So first of all THANK YOU and if I didn’t get back to you it’s because I like to talk about things on my own terms and what a better place than the ol’ GREEN JUICE & YOGA PANTS blog.

The funniest part about talking about lips is everyone I have told has actually gone to the SAME injector and fell in love.

So I felt this post was necessary because IT’S UNFAIR TO EVERYONE ELSE that wants to know and also I have a pretty funny story and can save some other people from some trial and error.

It’s 20-fucking-19 and women + men are getting filler and botox so get in or get out. It’s become pretty popular and giving a lot of people major confidence! How AWESOME!!




I remember a few years back when my friend and I were on our way to the galleria mall, she mentioned casually over a Kygo song, “I think I’m going to get my lips filled before my wedding!” and I responded, “What in the world is that?!” She went on to explain to me about filler and how it gives girls a more pouty look if they desire. I then looked at myself in the mirror noticing my lips were a pretty normal size and went along with my life not thinking much of it.

Fast forward a few years I kept running into friends who had the most BEAUTIFUL pouty smile! I couldn’t help but ask them 20 questions about it and came to find out they got FILLER!!! I was blow away because to me it looked so good and NATURAL. I then decided after a YEAR of back and fourth that I wanted to try it for myself. It’s “temporary” after all..

I have big hair, big eyebrows, bold eye color and I felt “bigger” lips would fit really well.

I did my research found a really well-known spot “Perceptions Aesthetic Spa” in town AND a deal (it was like $350 for 1 Syringe of Juvederm when normally it’s like over $500). PSA: They have deals all. the. time.


If you are super picky about an injector (which you should be) I would recommend a consultation. Now here’s the thing, at Perceptions (where I go) they take their time with their patients SPECIFICALLY if you see Injector, Elle. Elle insures she talks with you about what you want and examines your face making sure what YOU want is really what you want. I’m very particular about this because other spa’s are about getting as many clients in a day and rushing the process. At Perceptions and with nurse Elle you are NEVER rushed and she takes her time insuring that your procedure is BOMB AF every single time.

You can even have a consultation and get injected the same day if you want!! If you have a bomb injector you should always feel confident and comfortable enough to get injected same day. If not, skirt skirt.


Ok so you finally get injected….GREAT…sometimes!! Listen, unfortunately getting lip filler doesn’t mean your lips are going to look immediately how you want. SOMETIMES THOUGH(!!!) It is that way. However, everyone’s lip anatomy is different and holds filler differently and for me I had 1 syringe of Juvederm at first injected into my lips and noticed absolutely nothing. Womp. Womp. Wompppp……..

Well at least I didn’t notice but you be the judge:





They’re like a TAD bit plumper right? For $500-700 though I would not be THAT happy… call me cheap. lol.

I think a lot of people don’t understand that it takes a lot of filler, a lot of patience and a lot of money to possibly get the right pout.

Kylie Jenner makes it look easy honey but it ain’t!

(I’m actually still paying it off.. yikes!)


I picked the wrong filler.

They have Volbella, Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm ULTRA PLUS. Juvederm Ultra Plus is the same filler (AND PRICE!!) as Juvederm Ultra but it’s THICKER (making your lips bigger) and lasts LONGER. So my B for picking the wrong one which would have probably saved me a lot of time and money but whatever.

So I went into Elle again months later and said, “I want BIGGER lips”!

She advised I do Ultra Plus but mentioned it COULD make your lips “lumpy and bumpy” so I got scared and went for the Ultra again.

(It rarely ever will leave them bumpy unless your injector isn’t that skilled).

RESULTS (better but not quite what I wanted):


Mind you, there are MONTHS in between each session filler and a lot of working double shifts if ya know what I mean 😉

So I decided in January 2019 to go for the final time for a while and try ULTRA PLUS. Just “one last time”… I slightly sound like a junkie but it happens when you get filler. You get addicted?

I went it for Juvederm Ultra Plus and MAN OH MAN.

I bruised more.

I swelled more.


Elle texted me all night and assured me they would go down & not to worry, like she’s really the best ever.

I also heard a million times that

“if you like how your lips look right after you get filler while they’re still swollen then you’re going to want more filler later because they go down A LOT”.

So I knew when I was finally scared shitless over my swollen results that they were going to be perfect in a few weeks…. lol how sick is that? Just a few weeks of suffering…

I mean LOOK at these puppies (THIS WAS FRESH OUT OF INJECTIONS):



You can expect to feel pain while getting injections (obviously) but it’s not too terrible, expect bruising, swelling, spending money and waiting 2 weeks to see your final result.


It’s been months now and I’m still very happy with the Ultra Plus.

If I were to go back I would to a 1/2 syringe of Volbella just to touch up!

Filler is not permanent and after a while will dissolve so get ready to keep ’em up.

I think to be confident one must feel good about themselves, right? I don’t think a lot of people realize how important it is to take care of yourself so you can BE the best version of you!

I think eyelash extensions are a perfect way to glam yourself up everyday and not even have to try! It’s worth a shot at least.

So, let’s talk about eyelashes. Eyelash EXTENSIONS more specifically.

I had them done for the first time last year and actually blogged about it here.

That was over a year ago and since then I have decided that they are a NECESSITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why? With lash extensions you look more awake, your eyes look bomb and accented, AND your makeup is done quicker.

Seriously just add a spray tan with your lashes and you are good-to-go looking great in no time at all!

I see Michelle for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, her salon is local, clean and professional. No one wants to roll into some janky apartment or salon am I right? ( YES your cheap lashes ARE damaging your lashes gf! )

Michelle is so professional and has you sign a waiver to begin with to make sure you know what your getting into. When getting extensions done your lying down and being completely still for quite some time so it’s important to like know what you’re getting into and I feel like some lash artists don’t let people know. Ya know?

Michelle also makes sure she styles the lashes exactly how you like. For instance, she’ll ask you if you like the lashes to be longer in the center or outer corner for a more cat-eye look. Michelle can style the lashes to be classic or dramatic depending on the type of look you’re going for.

So here’s the deal. If you also see Michelle and mention me you get 10% off. AMAZING.

Lashes can be an investment for some so if you CAN afford it I highly recommend seeing Michelle & using that 10% off.

1 Min Healthy Breakfast Idea

Let’s talk about FOOD.

Let’s talk about food that’s EASY to make , ’cause who has the time?


This girl can EAT let me tell ya. I’m very much all about things that are easy to clean and take very little time at all. I’m always on the go so eating out is almost always my way to go but I’m trying VERY hard to budget my money better and eating most of my meals at home is how it’s going to happen. Right? Lord help me.


I have to start with sharing EGG WHITE BITES!

I can’t lie, I had this idea from STARBUCKS ! Starbucks sells the most perfect egg white bites I’ve ever tasted in my life. For nearly $5 (ouch) they give you two super small yet insanely tasty egg white bites and I’m OBSESSED. I even have my boyfriend hooked on them.

I drizzle sriracha sauce on top and go to town – it’s ridiculous I tell you.

They are low calorie, meat free, and loaded with protein – THE perfect snack !

Since they are just not cost effective to have on a daily basis and usually Starbucks is always out of them when I really need them I decided to make my own.

So I googled the first recipe I could find and used this recipe as inspo yet definitely tweaked mine and I’ll list what I did exactly below 😊 :

•3 Cups Egg Whites (I used All Whites green container)

•3 Full Eggs

• 2 Tsp Almond Milk

• A generous shake of Parsley

• Generous shake of Trader Joe’s All Purpose Savory Seasoning Salt

Whisk it all together in bowl

Then I sliced a quarter of an red onion, entire red bell pepper, some mushroom & a generous amount of feta cheese which I sprinkled a bit of each at the bottom of every muffin tin before I poured over the egg whites !!

Of course don’t forget to coat the muffin tins with oil (I used coconut oil spray from Trader Joe’s).

You guys, this ended up being SO good.

Out of shape AF? Here’s how to not be:

It happens to the best of us, one month we are feeling ourselves the next month we aren’t. Right? Anyone? Just me?

At least this has happened to me an ABUNDANCE of times. Like I can’t even count on one hand how many times this has happened to me. Yo-yo-ey much?

I am an EXTREMEST, really. One month i’m balls to walls about something // someone // workouts // food // clothes // etc and the next month I can be completely OVER IT. Sorry? 😅

So this happened to me over working out😬 YIKES. I was SO into my workouts, 5 days a week, 1 hour each, eating healthy, having my shakes everyday yada yada yada and all of a sudden summer came around and I’m down to a few workouts a week and eating & drinking whatever I want… oooooooops. F@&k.

Here’s the thing though, I’m the type of person (and lemme know if you are too) that KNOWS my limits and will NEVER let myself go. Like EVER EVERRRRRR. I can have fun for a few months and put my workouts and diet regimen on the shelve for a bit but at my CORE I know what makes me happiest and healthiest and it’s ONE particular lifestyle.

So, long story short I can say I’m pretty out of shape right now. 😅 Plot twist though? I. LOVE. IT. Let me tell you why before you get any crazy ideas!! I loveeee being out of shape right now because I feel like i’m starting over. When I do workouts now i’m extremely sore the next day, workouts that wouldn’t even phase me 4 months ago. I feel like a NEW ME is being born, a new body actually if you will and i’m stoked about it.

So how am I getting my ass back in shape AND enjoying this process? Of course I break it down for you!!

  • Do what you can & be proud. I think too many people jump into hard core workouts right off the bat & they can barely finish them so they feel discouraged and give up. STOP THAT! Who starts a race by sprinting? Give yourself time to ease into it or back into it. Start with a 20-30 min at home full body workout with little to no weight for a few weeks (trust me you should be sore and feeling amazing if you do it right) and then move onto a fitness class if you feel comfortable enough. It’s so important to listen to your body and do what you can and then be PROUD over it like YES I just did that!! Soon enough, your body will get stronger and you can KILL a hard core workout with ease.
  • FOCUS ON EATING ! You can not out work a bad diet. So stay focused on what you are eating more than working out. Don’t forget to HYDRATE as well. Water is KEY!!! Make sure 80% of what you are consuming are from a list of healthy eats and only 20% is “unhealthy”.
  • Don’t Take Everything So Serious. Don’t make unrealistic goals for yourself. 5 workouts this week right away? Maybe not. Let’s start with 2-3 and celebrate with healthy eating all week rather than crash and burn right back to unhealthy habits.
  • Celebrate your wins & TAKE BEFORE PICS! I choose to stay away from the scale completely, it’s a total gimmick if you ask me. Your weight really has nothing to do with being healthy or not. Being healthy has everything to do with how YOU feel and how you think you look. I find that taking before pics are a much better way to see your progress and that is so special and deserves to be celebrated or even posted on the gram 😉.

Starting over or beginning is the HARDEST PART. The only way for all of this to work? Never give up. Consistent work is going to lead to the ultimate goal you have for yourself. The most important tip is to start very slow. GO EASY on yourself at first & make it fun.

I LOVE starting over. Being “out of shape” is not something to be ashamed of, as long as you want to start over again.

SO, What else have I been up to?

I just launched 1-on-1 personal training as well! Working 1-on-1 has been so cool, I love getting to customize workouts for individuals and take results to the NEXT LEVEL. Working in group fitness for as long as I did helped me in so many ways- I LOVED IT. For now though, I’m loving focusing on 1-on-1 sessions and take my time with individuals, it’s tons of fun too!!

I’m also working on getting MYSELF, my friends & family the best possible results as well. Summer is here so that’s huge motivation for me to keep myself right & tight. 😉

What To Do When Your Hangry AF & In A Bikini

Ok so I blinked and it’s now summer. I’m trying to roll with it, not freaking out, just coming to terms with the fact that it’s time to wear a BIKINI!

I KNOW, no one likes to be bloated in a bikini – especially me!! Let’s be real, I know there are girls who simply just WONT eat the days they are in a swim suit and if you are that girl can I just say, NOOOOOOOOOOO. Let’s not make our results go backwards because we worked sooo hard on them, by not eating and let me introduce a lil friend that will save you!

Who doesn’t love to wake up & hear some inspo?

My life has drastically changed since I have started to really make the time to listen and read things that open my creativeness, positivity & confidence in my life.

This means books, podcasts, youtube, anything that I can listen, read or watch that inspires me to get up and get shit DONE.

I can say with listening to personal development everyday and not there is a HUGE difference.

There’s nothing worse, for me personally, than waking up and immediately flooding my mind with social media- consuming other peoples lives/problems/etc. I find that it really messes up my whole day- no exaggeration.

The biggest change for me when listening to Personal Development is my MOOD. As much as I hate to admit it, it’s super easy for me to get into a “funk” or a bad mood, I find it’s because I let other people affect me in a negative way (ya, hi i’m sensitive AF). However, when I listen to personal development specifically about letting things go, staying in my own lane and focusing on what makes ME happy I change into 100% a new Shmanders.

When I start my day with listening to personal development I notice I am sooo much stronger when it comes to not letting anything get in my way and getting everything I  need to done.

I also notice after listening to personal development I am MUCH more relaxed when it comes to letting things come and go in my life, I also notice I can go from a bad mood to a great mood VERY quickly, overflowing goodness!

So what’s my favorite PD to listen to?


I found a Law Of Attraction book by Gary & Esther Hicks a few years ago & fell in love. They preach all things staying in your own lane, focusing on your happiness & attracting the life you want.

If you have never read anything about Law Of Attraction I would definitely start with the book, “The Secret”. I love The Secret because it is a great introduction to creating your future- sometimes starting with anything else can be too much too quick.

I would list more of my favorites but I just want to highlight Abraham Hicks teachings because there is something for EVERYONE and ANYTHING.

I just youtube : Abraham Hicks (Letting things go) or (Attracting Money) or (Get Happy) and there is like 20 15 minute videos to listen to and change your life. LIKE HOW ELSE COULD YOU CHANGE YOUR LIFE IN 15 MINS? It’s magic.

Whenever I listen to them I instantly hear EXACTLY what I needed to and feel 110% better about whatever it is i’m going through.

Being such a sensitive person by nature, I just really resonate with Abraham Hicks and their teaching- it’s pretty crazy to be honest so I want to share.

I love to listen in the car, while I cook, workout, clean or anything really. When I’m done listening I feel refreshed and even smarter if that makes sense?

UPDATED * Skincare routine 2018 🍍😱


CRAZY that exactly a year ago I posted my skincare routine! I thought I would do an updated routine because at the moment I am unable to workout *big sigh*.

I am suffering from a 2nd degree burn after touching my leg for FAR too long on the pipe of a Harley Davidson… what a ride, eh?

So now that burn is infected and super gnarly so I am unable to really work on it too long which means no hard core workouts… wahh.

Well, instead of crying about it I decided to update you on my DAILY skincare routine and hop back on YOUTUBE. ♡

Not a crazy amount has changed since my last post, however enough has changed to make another video and post so I hope you enjoy!

The BIGGEST thing I can share about skin is it completely reflects the food you eat, how much exercise you get & the THOUGHTS you are thinking.

Fried food, fast food, fake food, alcohol, not enough water, no exercise are things that really effect our skins look.

Since I am always on the go and HATE too much makeup this look is very simple – think lots of BRONZER & glow. ♡

The Ultimate Cleanse 🥦💚 How I lost 8 lbs in 5 days, gained more energy & got rid of the “bloat” 🍴🍜

helllllooooooo again!

I’m alive and better than ever fresh from my 7 day 5 day cleanse (ya I could only last 5 days, sue me).

That’s right you guys, 5 whole days of NOTHING but veggie soup.

WAIIIIIT, let me back up! There is tons of science behind this cleanse and you can definitely eat more than soup… actually a lot more than soup and that’s exactly why I loved this cleanse so much.

Before you go hating on a cleanse let me be the first to say I am typically NOT a cleanse person. I think the juice cleanses are retarted and I have the hardest time going on a fast because quite simply I FUCKING LOVE FOOD.

However, when done correctly and when you find a cleanse you can handle your body will THANK YOU! Cleanses sweep out all the sick cells (yes we have sick cells that die when they aren’t fed the sick foods) so cleanses really give you a RESTART and leave you feeling completely renewed, more energy & typically quite a few pounds lighter.

After these 5 days you guys, I WAS 8 LBS LIGHTER & 0 bloating, absolutely 0 bloat.

I also forced my boyfriend to do this cleanse with me and he lost 12 lbs and is on a TOTAL health kick with me (hooooooooooray, happy gf).

Prior to this cleanse (and you know if you follow along on snapchat/insta stories) I was going out a lot, drinking alcohol & eating whatever I wanted JUST ON THE WEEKENDS. Yiiiikes. 2 months later, boom it all caught up to me- I had been feeling low energy and super bloated. Long story short, I needed a good cleanse.

How did I find this cleanse?

THANK GOD one of my bffs walked into the gym I worked at after I hadn’t seen her in a month and she look amazing, completely SHREDDED, I mean her muscles were popping and she just looked all around super lean. I basically forced her to tell me what she had been doing and she looks at me with a smile and says, “I’ve been drinking soup!”. Immediately I needed all the details and knew I was starting to drink this the very next day. Anyone else this intense? Lol.

it’s used for overweight heart patients in order to use weight rapidly prior to surgery.

CRAZY. Obviously it works.

This soup BURNS FAT. Yes & yes & yes ! Anything that burns fat, right?

This cleanse is FAST which I love, it flushes your system of impurities & gives you a complete feeling of well being. I seriously feel INCREDIBLE!!

No alcohol, bread, carbonated drinks or fried foods.

FIT TIPS 🍍 Starting Points (cause like where do you even start?)

When I say I know what it’s like to not feel comfortable in my own skin, I’M DEAD SERIOUS.

4 years ago, I just was NOT myself. It was like an out-of-body experience because I just felt SO uncomfortable.

Let me take you back to where I was at the time: 18 years old, just graduated high school, in the same relationship since I was 15 (can you say, comfortable?),  & had just packed up all my stuff into my VW beetle and moved to Carmel, CA for college.

The moment I got to Carmel it was like me & NO ONE.

I was alone for the first time in my life. No boyfriend, no friends, no family, just ME.

I was really able to focus on ME, no drama of any sort, for the first time in my life

Now that I look back on it I am SO glad I had the opportunity to do this- to really focus on just me- it was like a HUGE breath of fresh air at the time.

So imagine this, I am now just focusing on myself and notice that I have gained 15 pounds my senior year of high school.. 15 pounds!!

Let’s just say I ran cross country senior year and thought I could eat whatever I wanted, HA, not the case my friends. DON’T DO THAT.

Anyways, I was over weight, bloated all the time, low energy & lowwwwwww self esteem.

I was so jealous at the time, always comparing myself to other people and just being down on myself.

What really got me out of my rut is one of my favorite fitness inspirations, Paige Hathaway. I would go to her Instagram and website and get all of her workouts and copy them. I then signed up for her online training and started working on my diet. Honestly I wasn’t the greatest with my diets and was working out almost TOO much so it took years to see results but I stuck with it.

Yeah, I know starting points suck but we all have them and the faster you start the quicker you rip off that bandaid. There is NO excuse to starting…

Thank God I fell in love with nutrition and feeling healthy because now all I want to do is help other people feel amazing about themselves!

However, I had to go through a lot of trial & error which doesn’t have to be the case for everyone so let me give you my favorite 3 tips to kick start your fitness journey. ❤

Through these last 4 years I’ve developed a sustainable plan to keep the body fat off & to still live happy & not deprived!


  1.  START SMALL~ don’t over think it and don’t over promise yourself. Not everyone can start a fitness plan cold turkey and stick to it forever. This is a LIFESTYLE (i’m sure you’ve heard that a million times, yawn, but it’s true)! So start small. Promise yourself at least 1-2 days of working out (if you haven’t been at all) or bump up your current routine 2 more times a week. Start measuring your portions & looking at the labels. TRACK the food you eat currently & you’ll be shocked at the foods you really don’t need- give those up first. It’s these little habits that will make a huge ripple effect. If you want to lose body fat it’s time to cut the crap out but not ALL at once. You have your whole life to master this lifestyle so don’t crash and burn, start small, one thing at a time! I’ve always gone too hard on a diet depriving myself of foods and a hardcore workout routine that was just too much and then went right into “cheat days” which turned into “cheat weeks” , avoid this by starting SMALL!
  2. FIND A COACH. This is critical! I think everyone needs someone to help them especially when getting started and then to keep them on track. Anyone can promise themselves something but it’s a lot harder to stay on track when you have no extra motivation. A coach makes it simple, insures you aren’t doing anything wrong & motivates the CRAP out of you (at least a good coach does). When I started on my own fitness journey I used an online coach and TONS of trainers in the gym. I had goals and knew I needed help getting there – everyone does! I still need a coach even as a coach. Does that make sense?
  3. DON’T TAKE IT SO SERIOUS! Be proud of yourself for even attempting to change your life for the better and stop hatin’ in that head of yours. The #1 way to slow down this process is to think negatively. Know that results take time! It’s not going to happen overnight, but it WILL happen. With the right attitude and people by your side you should see great results within a month. So keep it up babe and know you are doing the BEST you can ~ smiiiile.
